Demonstration Classes

Demonstration classes are an optional part of the Pre-school Dance Curriculum, they allow the children an opportunity to perform a selection of the material covered over the year in front of an invited audience of parents/carers and an examiner.

Certificates, which remain unchanged, will be sent out in advance, so that teachers who have scheduled Demonstration classes can complete the evaluation for each participant on the reverse side prior to the Examiner presenting them at the end of the class.

General Examinations Procedures

  1. Late Entries
Late examination entry forms not only slow down the process of scheduling examinations, but can also mean that the whole process has to be restarted. In common with other examining boards, the Royal Academy will surcharge late entries. Please note that for the November tours there can be no late entries as the deadline is set so late.
  2. Refund Policy
If a candidate is unable to take an examination or presentation class due to illness, 50% of the examination fee will be refunded. A medical certificate together with the Medical reimbursement form should be sent to the office in Luxembourg. A copy of the medical refund form can be requested and will be e-mailed to teachers and to be used as necessary. This will be available on the web site in due course.
