Why become a member of RAD?

Whether you are a dancer, notator, dance professional, student or simply passionate about the art form, membership of the Academy can enhance your enjoyment of dance. Membership of the Royal Academy of Dance affirms professional standing and offers support, training and advice to over 15,500 members, in 82 countries worldwide.

The Academy aims to support its Members, be it through the knowledge, support and technical expertise of its highly qualified staff or the social interaction of like minded enthusiasts at RAD conferences, workshops, training courses or summer schools.

Affiliate Membership

Full Membership

Full Membership of the Academy is designed for dance professionals. Click here for more information

To become a Registered Teacher students must have graduated from a course endorsed by the Royal Academy of Dance, Faculty of Education and hold Full Membership. Click here for more information
